What happens next
We record a reference number, verify control of the email or account, confirm the scope, search applicable systems and respond within the legally required period. Authorized agents and appeals require additional verification. Production must connect transactional email and a staffed privacy inbox before launch.
Portable format
Access exports should use machine-readable JSON or CSV where required and should exclude other people’s data, protected newsroom material and security secrets. Account deletion does not automatically remove published journalism or records retained for lawful editorial purposes.
