The New Jersey Courier welcomes informed local conversation while protecting people, sources and the integrity of public-service journalism.
Contribute constructively
Discuss the reporting, share firsthand context and correct ideas with evidence. Do not post threats, harassment, hate, sexual exploitation, private personal information, spam, impersonation, manipulated media presented as authentic, or claims you know are false.
Moderation
Comments begin in a review queue. Moderators may approve, label, limit, reject or remove submissions and restrict repeat offenders. Newsworthiness does not excuse targeted abuse. An appeal channel will be published before public comments are enabled.
Tips and emergencies
Comments are public and are not a secure tip line. Do not place yourself or a source at risk. Call emergency services for immediate danger and use The New Jersey Courier’s secure tip process for sensitive material.
